Microsoft Teams is available for you to use and works in the normal way.
If you have never used Teams before there is guidance available on this Microsoft site. Please be aware that some features mentioned in this guidance aren’t available in the REF version of Teams, (for example, recording a meeting).
You can use the following sections in Teams to communicate with other panel members:
Teams area:
| What is it used for? | To post messages you want the rest of the panel/team to see |
| Who can see what I post in the team? | Anyone who is a member of that panel/sub-panel/group/team, (for example, all sub-panel 1 members will see anything posted in that area) |
| How long will the posts stay on the system? | 30 days. All posts well be automatically deleted after 30 days |
Chat area:
| What is it used for? | Use the Chat area to chat to other panel members |
| Who can see what I post in chat message? | Only the person you are sending the chat to or the members of the group/meeting if it's a group chat |
| How long will the chat messages stay on the system? | 30 days. All chat messages well be automatically deleted after 30 days |
| As Teams posts and chat messages are automatically deleted after 30 days, please do not use them as a record of key decisions. As everyone in the meeting can see the chat message please do not use meeting chat to discuss anything about the meeting |
