Yellow banner across the top of the REF Hub and other apps

  • You will see this yellow banner at the top of the REF Hub and in applications you use, telling you that you are not allowed to download, print or sync.
  • This appears because of the security settings on REF Hub and there is no way to get rid of the message
  • For more information on how the REF Hub is set up, please read this article

Email reply when you try to send an email to an external email

  • If you try to send an email to an external address, (one that isn't another panel member's REF email address), you will get an email auto-reply with the message:
'A custom email flow rule created by an admin at xxxxxxx.ac.uk has blocked your message. Emails to external recipients are blocked.'
  • To protect REF data the system is set up so that we cannot send emails to external email addresses
